Balayage

Balayage is a highlighting technique that was created by the French. The word balayage means to sweep which describes how the colour is applied to the highlighted pieces of hair, these highlighted pieces blend into the base colour creating a beautiful colour that is lower maintenance than traditional highlights.

Traditionally balayage is a beautifully subtle, natural looking colour is applied throughout the hair in a freehand manner to create a sun kissed look.

As techniques, colour technology and trends have come along it has been made possible to now create a variety of balayage results from natural to high contrast..

The great thing about balayage is is can be tailored perfectly for you.

Although balayage is traditionally a free hand technique to achieve a soft sun-kissed look there are other techniques such as AirTouch, foiliage and shadow root that can achieve a look similar to that of a balayage but lighter from a darker base or with more of a contrast, if you are not sure which technique would be right for you please book a free consultation with Alice prior to booking your colour appointment.

Throughout the past 10 years of Alices hairdressing career she has become a specialist in balayage, lived-in colour and working with bleach to create dimensional blondes and multi-tonal brunettes that look expensive and are lower maintenance than your traditional blonding techniques..

As a hairdresser Alice loves many areas of the hairdressing industry but her real passion is for balayage and lived-in colour and there is nothing that she loves more (apart from seeing the smiles on her clients faces when their new hair is revealed to them). This passion and drive to learn as much as she can is what makes her hair colour stand out and keeps her clients coming back for more.

Prices are subject to change, please book a free consultation for an exact quotation. The prices listed are for the balayage service alone and do not include any other colour, cut or blow-dry services. Blow-drys at a set price of £25.00 are compulsory with any colour service to ensure colours can be checked before leaving the salon. For new clients or any clients that have not been to Alice in over 6 months will need to arrange to come in for an allergy alert test at least 48 hours prior to their colour appointment, unfortunately if your allergy alert tests aren't up to date I will not be able to offer a colour service and you will risk loosing your deposit.
