Colour Responsible Policy
Alice follows a colour responsible policy for the safety and peace of mind of her clients.
You must be over the age of 16 to have any colour service.

Skin testing and screening is used to check suitability for the colouring products Glam AF provide.

Allergy Alert Test (AAT)
New clients to Alice must have an AAT at least 48hours prior to their colour appointment.
​
Returning clients will need to have an AAT at least 48 hours prior to their colour appointment if:

they have not had an AAT in the last 6 months

they have had a tattoo of black henna since their last AAT
-
they have coloured their own hair or been to someone else for a hair colour since their last AAT
-
they want to change are wanting to change the shade of their hair colour since their last colour appointment/AAT
-
they have any type of allergic reaction since their last colour appointment/AAT.
Failure to have AAT 48 hours prior to booked colour appointment will mean the colour appointment will not be able to go ahead and your deposit may be lost.

A thorough consultation will be carried out before each colour service, including an assessment of the hair and scalp this may include strand testing.

Records of each service and test results will be kept securely by Alice Flewitt.
​
In Hairdressing we use a lot chemicals, so it is important that we do all we can to keep you safe and leaving the salon with healthy hair.
